Working Out During COVID-19
Everyone's lives have been impacted in some way or another by COVID-19. At Reddiyo we are taking this pandemic very seriously and are attempting to follow all the guidelines that have been established by the World Health Organization and the CDC.
Reddiyo is a fully remote company and will continue to operate this way. We all need to do our part to help slow the spread of this very serious virus. We encourage everyone to follow restrictions placed in your local jurisdiction (State/City/County).
During this time of uncertainty, we are likely to carry additional stress. It is more important than ever to get the exercise that we need to stay healthy and if nothing else, for mental health purposes. Reddiyo can help provide some training guidance and be used in conjunction with all necessary restrictions to help control the spread of the virus. Every Reddiyo workout can be performed either indoors or outdoors and you are able to do them 100% on your own.
Assuming that local laws and restrictions allow you to be outside then performing your workout outside is very easy. If you have connected your Garmin Connect (GC) account with Reddiyo, your daily workout will be sent directly to your list of workouts in GC. From there you can easily push your workout to a supported Garmin device. If you aren’t using a Garmin device then you can also do the workout directly in the app and follow along. You should probably do your ride completely solo to follow social distancing guidelines.
If you prefer to do your ride(s) indoors then all Reddiyo workouts can be done directly on your resistance trainer. You can use the methods listed above or even import the workout directly into Zwift or Rouvy. Importing the workout into the trainer software will ensure that you are getting the proper resistance for the correct duration throughout the workout.
We hope that everyone stays safe, healthy, and does their part to help the larger community. It is times like these that remind us why having a solid community is paramount to the health of our citizens. Please don’t forget to take care of yourself and get the exercise that you need to stay sane during these uncertain times.
